Important Update – Yankee Boy Mine Tours Temporarily Closed

Dear Visitors and Supporters,
We want to share an important update regarding our underground mine tours at the historic Yankee Boy Mine in Grand Forks, BC.

As of May 2, 2025 and in compliance with a court order, we are no longer able to offer underground mine tours at this time. This is due to an ongoing legal matter concerning access and safety regulations, and we are actively working toward a resolution that will allow us to
reopen the tours in the future.

We understand this may come as a disappointment to those planning to experience the mine firsthand. We deeply appreciate your patience and continued support during this time.

Please note that our museum and outdoor heritage displays remain open to the public.

These areas continue to showcase the rich mining history of the region, and we welcome you to explore, learn, and connect with the stories that shaped Grand Forks.

Our commitment to preserving and sharing BC’s mining history remains strong, and we’ll keep you informed with updates as they become available.

Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support.
